This commissioned artwork was created for a truly wonderful woman—a kind soul who brings joy and light to the lives of many.

She had asked for something from my heart, a painting to reflect the white hydrangeas she loves and cannot grow in her garden.

As I painted I infused the blooms with memories and soul feelings of the love she gives so freely to others. As soon as I unwrapped the painting and she saw it, she gasped and said, “It’s so beautiful.”

No hesitation.

No doubt.

Just that:

so beautiful.

Then, without a second thought, her husband banged nails in the new walls of their architecturally designed home and hung Joyous Wonder.
