Great Bright Light was inspired by the poetry of Pablo Neruda and a divine sunrise in The Bay of Islands, and the shift to the Aquarian energy. Following a storm, the skies blazed with brilliant rays of light. I took a photo (another of my obsessions) and later painted how the moment made me feel—full of light. Layering washes of colour, I worked fluidly and spontaneously, mainly using a monochromatic palette of blues. I also love blue so much I could eat it 🫐💙🦋What’s your favourite colour?

THE FINISH
The painting has been created on artist quality 100% cotton canvas and finished with a double coat of UV resistant gloss varnish, protecting the longevity and enhancing the vibrancy of the colours.

The sides of the canvas have been painted white

If you are within New Zealand it comes stretched and ready to hang. International orders will be sent rolled in a tube, unless requested to be sent framed.

Your painting will be hand signed on the front and back, with its title written on the rear of the canvas. You will also receive a certificate of authenticity.
